The Electric Vehicles (Smart Charge Points) Regulations 2021 came into force on 30 June 2022, and the Wallbox Pulsar Plus product range opted for the Enforcement Undertaking option as an available route within the legislation. However, Replenishh identified a legal constraint in the enforcement undertaking which stated that ANY reseller in the supply chain (including installers) needed to apply and be accepted for the enforcement undertaking. In the best interests of our customers at the time of identifying this clause and to ensure we as a reseller are following the regulations, Replenishh made the decision to remove the above-mentioned products from general sale back in July until a resolution could be found.

Subsequently, Replenishh and Wallbox have been working closely with the Office for Product Safety & Standards (OPSS) to come to a solution and Replenishh is pleased to announce we can now provide the following confirmations:

Wallbox Pulsar Plus from Wallbox:

As the undertaking is for charge point models which will be made compliant through a software/firmware update which is currently being developed, the following applies with regards to your supply chain:

1. The first seller of the charge point (e.g. the manufacturer) must have an accepted undertaking in place for the charge point to not be in scope of further enforcement action. This undertaking will include the requirement for the statement of compliance to reflect the status of compliance, thereby communicating any areas of non-compliance to their supply chain and consumers. Second seller (Replenishh) and Replenishh installer customers do NOT need to apply for the enforcement undertaking and can purchase direct from Replenishh with the assurance that they will be compliant with the regulations.
2. Any subsequent sellers or resellers (e.g. distributors or installers) of the charge points included in bullet point 1 may offer an undertaking but would otherwise fall within scope of the original undertaking.
3. The Enforcement Undertaking for Wallbox Pulsar Plus will be in effect from 30 June 2022 to 31 October 2022 and will be considered discharged when the actions set out in Part 3 (Firmware upgrade) of the undertaking have been completed, which then extends the product to 31st December 2022.
